We offset our carbon emission relating to all of our business practices &
in keeping with our intention of seeking out opportunities for people in developing
countries to benefit from global trade, all of our carbon credits are directed
to a wind farm in Northern China.
minimal water footprint
we source our organic cotton & organic bamboo
from countries that have the best climates to support these crops. Cotton
requires 20,000 litres of water to grow 1 kg of cotton - enough for one t
shirt & one pair of jeans.
Most of our cotton comes from India where up to 95% of the water for the crops
is provided by monsoonal rains. This natural supply of water also reduces
the need for fossil fuel driven irrigation machinery.

Wherever possible we buy from co operatives of family
owned farms. You can be guaranteed that we NEVER use cotton that has
been grown under conditions perpetuating environmental or humanitarian duress.
minimising transport
we make every effort to ensure that transport around the sewing of the initial
seed to deliver to the final customer is kept to a minimum. Wherever possible
our cotton is grown, ginned, woven, sewn & sent from regions within close
proximity. All of our creations travel by sea freight & we offset all
related emissions.
