No pesticides, herbicides, artificial growth regulators, defoliants or other agro chemicals have been used to grow fibres for any of our products, none of our raw materials come from Genetically Modified seeds / crops.
Statistics released by the Organic Cotton Fibre Report 2006 state that if all cotton that is grown in the world today shifted from conventional processes of production to organic processes, the global percentage of pesticide and insecticide emissions would drop by 25%.
Black ants keep caterpillars and other pests under control in Uganda. The
ants are collected by farmers among the leaves below banana trees. They are
transferred to the cotton field where two ants patrol each cotton plant, eating
flies and almost any other insects they encounter, including the major cotton
pests, bollworms and budworms.
